The game is based on the Slender Man, a fictional. The object of the game is to navigate the forest and collect eight manuscript pages relating to the mysterious, malevolent creature known as the Slender Man. At the start of the game the player climbs over a fence, turns on a flashlight and is greeted by a view of a forest. Paradoxical, and a little frustrating – especially if you are keen to get a glimpse of what you're meant to be running away from. Slender: The Eight Pages is a first-person horror game developed by Parsec Productions and released in 2012. Slender Man stalks you throughout the forest. Following what could be a scream from Kate, the player must search the nearby Oakside Park for clues about Kates whereabouts. There is a strange paradox in that the only way to stop the relentless onslaught of the Slender Man is to look at him, but if you look at him for too long you will die. The Eight Pages is the second part of Slender: The Arrival. The sense of threat and anticipation is built upon through the clever use of soundscapes. While there is an element of fear to the game, the sense of challenge is diminished by the fact that there is only one enemy to avoid – and the original Slender Man stories (opens in new tab) are far more terrifying than anything game manages to conjure up. There are effectively eight levels to work through and there is no real variety in what you need to do - the difficulty level just increases. Usant dun mème internet comme intrigue principale, il a relancé le survival horror et vu naître. Yes, there is the element of suspense to make things a little more interesting, but at its heart, this is an incredibly simple game with very limited gameplay. Slender : The eight pages repose sur un mécanisme de jeu simple, mais qui fonctionne bien. Unfortunately, to cut to the chase, it's a bit boring.
